Why it is trending

Vaxcyte reported that its Phase 3 OPUS-1 trial of investigational pneumococcal vaccine VAX-31 met all prespecified primary endpoints. Individual immune-response comparisons met the stricter noninferiority standard for 20 of 20 shared serotypes against Prevnar 20 and 17 of 19 against Capvaxive. The other two Capvaxive comparisons met a historical threshold.

Reported safety was similar to the comparator vaccines. These findings advance development, but further trials and manufacturing work remain before a planned license application. VAX-31 remains unapproved.

Separately, Vaxcyte has priced approximately $500 million of common stock and pre-funded warrants, with common shares offered at $64 each, alongside $500 million of 1.50% convertible senior notes. Closing remains subject to customary conditions. The financing would support development, manufacturing and commercial preparations while adding debt and potential dilution.

Sector

Health care and biotechnology. Vaxcyte develops vaccines aimed at preventing serious bacterial infections.

Recent earnings

For Q2 2026, ended June 30, Vaxcyte reported a net loss of $284.3 million, or $1.97 per share, compared with a loss of $166.6 million, or $1.22 per share, a year earlier.

Research and development expenses increased to $267.9 million from $194.2 million. Cash, cash equivalents and investments totaled $2.5077 billion at quarter-end as the company continued its clinical and manufacturing programs.

ATA Auto Trend Indicator Review

Vaxcyte’s small green daily dots and larger green weekly dots show aligned BUY signals. The weekly timeframe represents the dominant trend. The latest completed daily bar remains on BUY, while the current weekly bar is still forming; the last completed weekly signal was also BUY. Earlier black dots are historical SELL signals.

Our proprietary ATA Auto Trend Indicator makes these signals easy to follow: small dots track daily buys and sells, while larger dots track weekly buys and sells. Green means buy; black means sell. The weekly timeframe represents the dominant trend. This clear visual approach helps you compare daily and weekly signals and support a more disciplined trading process.

WE PREPARE FOR THE NEXT MOVE RATHER THAN PREDICT IT.
