Stock Market Update Wednesday June 25, 2025 It was a subdued trading session, with equities largely range-bound. The S&P 500 hovered within a narrow 25-point band and closed flat on the day. The Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) edged up 0.2%, while small caps (IWM) underperformed, slipping 1%.
Away From Stocks: The two-year Treasury yield eased 1 basis point to 3.74%, while the 30-year held steady at 4.83%. In commodities, WTI crude and gold both caught a bid, settling at $65 per barrel and $3,333 per ounce, respectively.
Crypto & Volatility:Bitcoin advanced toward the $108,000 mark, continuing its upward momentum. Meanwhile, the VIX drifted lower, closing below 17, signaling muted volatility expectations.
