Stock Market Update Tuesday April 14, 2026 Equities extended their strong momentum, with the S&P 500 advancing another 1.2% and moving back to within striking distance of all-time highs—just two weeks after being down roughly 7% year-to-date. Sector leadership remained concentrated in Technology, while Energy continued to lag amid the ongoing decline in crude prices.

Away From Stocks: Treasury's firmed as yields declined by 2–5 basis points across the curve, reflecting a modest bid for duration. In commodities, WTI crude fell to approximately $92 per barrel, reinforcing the weakness in the Energy complex. Conversely, gold rallied 2% to $4,840 per ounce. Bitcoin traded above $74,000, maintaining its upward trajectory, while the VIX declined to six-week lows near 18.

Our investment approach is disciplined and long-only. We do not engage in short selling. In our long-term portfolio, we focus exclusively on high-quality companies with a demonstrated history of operational excellence and consistent shareholder value creation. However, in our short-term speculative portfolio, some stocks we post may be driven by other factors, such as notable options flow, proprietary algorithms and seasonality. We rely on our proprietary algorithms to identify high-probability entry points, whether to initiate new positions or to strategically add to existing holdings.
