Stock Market Update Monday September 8, 2025 It was a subdued session overall, though equities managed to stabilize and recover from Friday’s payrolls-driven weakness. The S&P 500 once again tested the 6,500 level, only to fade into the close—mirroring the pattern of recent weeks—while the Nasdaq carved out another all-time high.
