Stock Market Update Monday June 22, 2026 U.S. equities retreated modestly, with the S&P 500 declining 0.3%, as a 1.8% slide across the “Magnificent Seven” megacap names outweighed continued strength in semiconductor stocks.
Away From Stocks: Treasury prices came under pressure, pushing the 2-year and 30-year yields five basis points higher to 4.24% and 4.95%, respectively. WTI crude eased to $74 per barrel, while gold rebounded to $4,190 per ounce. Bitcoin edged up to $64,500, and volatility expectations firmed, with the VIX climbing back above 17.
