Oracle (ORCL): Point Beach Agreement Adds Wisconsin Energy Commitment

Oracle has committed to subscribe to part of the electricity generated by Wisconsin’s Point Beach nuclear plant. We Energies estimates the arrangement would save utility customers approximately $300 million in fuel costs. The commitment accompanies Oracle’s Project Lighthouse data-center investment in Port Washington and its pledge to fund the project’s energy costs. Wisconsin Public Service Commission approval is still required.

Recent earnings

For fiscal Q1 2027, ended August 31, Oracle reported revenue of $19.345 billion, up 30% year over year. GAAP diluted earnings were $1.56 per share, while non-GAAP earnings were $1.92 per share.

Cloud-infrastructure revenue increased 121% to $7.388 billion. Management’s September outlook projected fiscal 2027 revenue of at least $90 billion and non-GAAP earnings of $8.10 per share. Those figures remain forecasts as Oracle expands capacity to serve cloud and AI demand.
