Why it is trending

Amazon is supporting development work on a proposed 960-megawatt nuclear project in Indiana with American Electric Power and X-energy. The companies are evaluating 12 small modular reactors at the former Breed Generating Station site.

The project could provide long-term power for Amazon’s data centers and the regional grid. Amazon is funding development work and intends to purchase electricity under a long-term agreement if the project advances.

The project remains in the feasibility stage, subject to a final investment decision. No contribution to Amazon’s earnings has been quantified.

Sector

Consumer Discretionary: broadline retail, with substantial cloud-computing, advertising and subscription businesses.

Recent earnings

For the second quarter of 2026, revenue increased 20% year over year to $200.6 billion. GAAP operating income rose 43% to $27.5 billion, while AWS revenue grew 37% to $42.2 billion.

Investment spending remains significant. Trailing-12-month free cash flow, a non-GAAP measure, was an outflow of $7.6 billion.

ATA Ultimate Swing Algorithm V2 Review

The small black daily dots show a downward daily bias, while the large green weekly diamonds show an upward weekly bias. The weekly timeframe remains the dominant trend, but the daily reading has not aligned with it.

These ongoing dots and diamonds describe trend bias. A discrete BUY marks a down-to-up flip, and SELL marks an up-to-down flip. No fresh latest-bar flip was verified in this capture.

The algorithm makes this daily-versus-weekly disagreement easy to see, helping investors stay disciplined while waiting for clearer alignment. It supports a consistent decision process without predicting the next move.

WE PREPARE FOR THE NEXT MOVE RATHER THAN PREDICT IT.
